Tip #2: Set Reasonable Expectations: It’s important to keep expectations realistic. Even if your child isn’t meeting your expectations, it is crucial that they don’t feel like a failure because of it. Instead of focusing on the grades they get or awards they win, shift the focus onto learning opportunities where mistakes can be made without fear of failure or ridicule from others.
